Our Story
When my parents emigrated from South Korea to the United States in the early 80’s it wasn’t unusual to receive clothes, snacks, and other South Korean goods from our relatives still living there. It also wasn’t unusual for us to request certain items be shipped to us because we preferred South Korean products over American products such as clothing ans cosmetics.
It was during a visit to my extended family in South Korea in 2018 that I realized how much I loved my heritage and how I wanted to share with others who did not have friends or family to send them local items from not just South Korea, but from anywhere in the world.
FarFetchd was born in 2018 because we believe culture can be shared across oceans by connecting you with people who want to share a little bit of their country with you. This is our mission and we’re truly excited to have you come along for the ride!
